Black And Blue Lemonade Recipe

The sun may have done a vanishing act as of late, but that doesn’t mean it’s still not warm out there. So if you are one of those people still struggling with the heat, or if the sun decides it wants to make a reappearance, then this is the recipe for you. Hugely refreshing Black & Blue Lemonade.

It’s an obvious statement to make, but we’ll say it anyway that drinking ice cold drink feels very refreshing in hot summer days. Sometimes there is no better feeling. The human body loses water in the form of perspiration because of hot / warm weather, so naturally drinking cold water or drinks refills body with fluids. And it’s widely regarded that lemonade is one of the primary thirst quenching drinks on a hot day.

But why are sour drinks like proper lemonade so refreshing? They reason is they stimulate salivation. When you start to become dehydrated on a hot day, your body’s need for liquid manifests as a dry mouth. Research shows that sour flavors stimulate salivation more than any other taste. Acidic drinks wet the mouth and give the impression of hydration even after your lemonade (or sour drink) is finished.
