Four New Aquatic Sports That Aren't For The Faint Hearted

For all the thrill seekers out there we've sourced four new and exciting water sports which quite frankly you need to try. From hovering above the water and being catapulted into the sky, to being dragged underwater by a boat and riding an actual real life hover board - it's an eclectic mix of adrenaline raising activities. See which is your favourite below.

Aquatic Hover Board - Ever dreamt of owning a hover board? If so then you’ll know they’re pretty hard to come by but here is the next best thing, a real life aquatic hover board! With a top speed of 16mph, you are free to skim along the surface of the water and fly up to 16ft into the air doing all sorts of spins and grabs while the water jets blast you around.

Blob Jumping – Blob jumping has gained many fans in recent years so you may have seen this one around before. It takes two for this one so grab a friend. With a partially-inflated air bag lying on the water, one of you sits on the far edge of the blob. Get your pal to jump from a scaling height (a boat, diving board, cliff etc) onto the other end of the blob, thus sending you flying into the sky with a splashy water landing to finish off.

Subwing – Imagine being towed along underwater behind a boat… Sounds great fun doesn’t it? That’s what Norwegian inventor Simon Silvertsen thought when he invented the Subwing using a plank of old drift wood. With the Subwing the driver can pivot the device to steer themselves from danger, although we’re not to keen on the possibility of hitting a sizable fish at speed.

Jetlev Flyer - In a similar way that the aquatic hover board uses water to fly you around, we introduce to you the Jetlev water jet pack. Once strapped to your back the two water jets blast you up into the sky up to 30ft but there’s not much room for tricks or stunts, so why not just hover around and take in the scenery.
