The One Moment Music Video

Pretty much every music video OK Go have ever released is astounding and innovative, but this time the Chicago boys have outdone themselves with the video for their latest single The One Moment. A near 4 minute track with an accompanying video that lasts a mere 4.2 seconds! Sounds confusing, but is truly stunning.

Ok, so let’s try and explain it. This isn’t an exaggeration. The actual video does indeed last 4.2 seconds, and actually plays in full before the music even starts.
It really is a case of blink and you’ll miss it……especially when 325 discrete events occur in the time span of the video, from guitars blowing up, to band members coming alive via flipbooks.

The magic happens however when you slow everything down. Suddenly balloons pop, and explosions happen in time with the music, and with some of the footage slowed down by as much as 20,000 percent from real time even the most minor movements are turned into elaborately choreographed moments.
It’s hardly surprising that preparation and filming of the video took about 7 weeks.

Currently the video hasn’t even been up 6 days yet (as of Tuesday morning), and already the original (which was posted as always on their Facebook page) has been watched 17.5 million times. You can check it out below.

And if you like the single you can find it on their album Hungry Ghosts, which also features the track Upside Down & Inside Out which had the incredible video that featured the members of the band in a zero gravity environment created via flight in a reduced gravity aircraft which can be seen in our previous blog about the band here.
