Set against the backdrop of the early 1960s period of the Cold War, The Man from U.N.C.L.E. centres on U.N.C.L.E. agents Napoleon Solo and Illya Kuryakin. The two team up on a joint mission to stop a mysterious international criminal organization, which is bent on destabilising the fragile balance of power through the proliferation of nuclear weapons and technology. The duo’s only lead is the daughter of a vanished German scientist, who is the key to infiltrating the criminal organisation, and they must race against time to find her and prevent a worldwide catastrophe.
Directed by Guy Richie The Man From U.N.C.L.E. is a remake of the cult classic tv series from the mid 60’s that starred Robert Vaughan and David McCallum. Their roles are now taken by actors Henry Cavill and Armie Hammer, with other Hugh Grant taking on the role of Mr Waverly.
