As true Adidas fans we can't help getting a little too over excited when fresh new Y-3 deliveries arrive. Amongst the latest autumn/winter collection for 2013, Japanese designer Yohji Yamamoto (who celebrates his 70th birthday this year) has created the Smooth Star... look familiar?
Cast your mind to Adidas' Superstar classic and you'll slowly start to see the resemblances. The original Superstar with its shell style toe piece has been replaced with a smooth cap and the original three stripe has been replaced with a smooth leather panel, hence the name 'Smooth Star'. If you're a true Adidas fan then Y-3's re-make of the classic has got to be top of your shopping list.
