Commencing tonight with an aim to raise money for disadvantaged people in the UK and around the world, Sport Relief is poised to beat the £50m raised on the TV show two years ago. Hosted by Gary Lineker and Davina McCall, the show will feature hilarious sketches, thought-provoking short films and live games. We're particularly looking forward to a special Only Fools and Horses with a guest appearance from the legendary David Beckham.
Fundraising events have been taking part for the last few weeks and celebrities and public figures have undergone gruelling tasks to raise as much money and Sport Relief awareness as possible. Davina McCall raised more than £750,000 in a huge feat of endurance after running, cycling and swimming from Edinburgh to London in just one week. Other impressive achievements include Radio 1's Nick Grimshaw completing a 12-hour bike ride, ex-footballers Alan Shearer and Robbie Savage completing a race to sit on all 90,000 seats in Wembley Stadium and the One Show's Alex Jones facing her fears to climb the 1200ft Moonlight Buttress in Utah, USA.
Tune in to BBC One from 7pm tonight for a fantastic evening of live television and fundraising, and don't forget to visit the Sport Relief website to make your donations and find out what's going on in your area.
