One of Marvel's most enigmatic, complex and badass characters comes to the big screen, starring Academy Award nominated actor Tom Hardy as the lethal protector Venom. Take a look at the first trailer for it.
Slated to be one of 2018’s biggest hits, Ruben Fleischer's highly-anticipated Venom has been under some pretty tight wraps so far. Having only released a first look at Tom Hardy playing the lead character, reporter Eddie Brock before he transforms into the fearsome black and white Venom earlier this year and officially dropping a poster after the Super Bowl, the film’s first trailer has finally been released.
Venom will draw from two main comic arcs, Lethal Protector — which saw Venom moving to San Francisco where he tackles five new offspring of the Venom Symbiote — and Planet of the Symbiotes, where Earth is invaded by an army of symbiotes. Along with Tom Hardy, the film also stars Michelle Williams, Riz Ahmed, Reid Scott, and Jenny Slate and opens in theaters on October 5.
Based on the Marvel Comics character of the same name, it is produced by Columbia Pictures, and released by Sony Pictures the film follows in the footsteps of blockbusters such as Superman, Daredevil, X-Men, Iron Man, Punisher, The Avengers, Wolverine, Thor, Deadpool, Guardians Of The Galaxy, & Fantastic Four to name only some. No pressure then!
