Soul Brother No.1, a.k.a The Godfather of Soul, a.k.a The Hardest Working Man in Show Business, James Brown is set to get his life story told on the big screen later this year when Get On Up hits the cinemas.
Starring Chadwick Boseman as the man himself, the film follows the private and public lives of James Brown through a career which spans over six decades and takes him from a childhood of extreme poverty to becoming one of the greatest musicians of all time.
James Brown was renowned for his intense live performances and continued to perform up until his death on December 25 2006.
Directed by Tate Taylor (director of The Help), Get On Up will be produced by Brian Grazer and none other than Mick Jagger - whose production company, Jagged Films, is partly behind the project.
