Interpol were undoubtedly one of the front-runners in the big indie rock buzz of the 2000s but after a four year silence following their last album in 2010, you kind of expected that the line had been drawn on their time.
Thankfully though, the American indie post-punk alternative rock mash-ups are back with their fifth album, El Pintor, which is due out in the UK on Monday and we couldn’t be happier.
After the release of their 2010 self-titled LP the New York outfit went on hiatus as well as undergoing a member reshuffle after their former bassist left the band, but its safe to say the future looks bright if new tune Ancient Ways is anything to go by.
To accompany the launch of El Pinto, Interpol have also uploaded a ‘Making Of’ mini-documentary to the world of Youtube, which is available to watch below.
