This weekend, people around the country will be dusting off their rackets ahead of the summertime tennis buzz as Monday sees the start of the Queen’s Aegon Championships 2014.
This year’s event, held at Queen’s Club in West Kensington, features a star studded line up which includes current Wimbledon and Queen’s Champion Andy Murray, World No.3 Stanislas Wawrinka, 2011 runner-up Jo Wilfried Tsonga and French Open quarter finalist Tomas Berdych.
There is also a huge amount of young talent on the entry list with Grigor Dimitrov, Ernests Gulbis and Dominic Thiem all in attendance, as well as four-time champion and former World No.1 Lleyton Hewitt.
Running until 15 June, the Queen’s Championships are always an action packed week of tennis with superstars such as Rod Laver, John McEnroe, Boris Becker and Pete Sampras all having lifted the trophy over the years.
