Award winning San Diego photographer and photo-editing genius, Tim Tadder, has created a simply sublime collection of mind-boggling images featuring hairless individuals and a plethora of water balloons.
Tim describes himself as a 6 feet 7 inches tall bearded owner of 4 bicycles and a brown dog named Bailey. He is best known for his powerful portraits, high octane sports imagery and editing prowess. In arguably his most impressive collection, Water Wigs, Tadder gathered a group of bald individuals and tossed water balloons at their heads to create a wig-like illusion. Using inventive lighting and a state-of-the-art laser and sound trigger on his camera, the innovative shutterbug was able to snap the exact moment each balloon burst, yielding a perfectly unique range of shots.
Creating a whole host of new 'hairstyles' with names such as 'The Don King', 'The Jesus' and 'The Conquistador', Tim explains 'The concept is simple and it is another visual exploration of something new and totally different. We chose to work with triads of colours to create images that are arresting and amusing at the same time. We feel the colour helps transform the water into some more and adds greater visual interest.' Check out how these visual masterpieces were created in a special behind the scenes video below.
