February was definitely far from quiet in 2013 with action happening from all corners of the globe. A meteorite crashed into Russia's Ural mountains causing some serious chaos and damage, whilst injuring close to 1,000 people when it struck on February 15. Described as a 'ball off fire falling out of the sky' the meteorite blew out windows and damaged local schools, businesses and homes.
However, the excitement began in February when our favourite musical trio (Destiny's Child of course) stepped out on to the Super Bowl stage in New Orleans to entertain 70,000 fans inside the stadium. An estimated 100 million American viewers watched live on television.
And finally, who could forget Jennifer Lawrence's Oscar moment when she so gracefully tripped up on her Dior Couture gown whilst walking to accept her Oscar for Best Actress in a Leading Role. When asked afterwards what she thought about the tumble her response was "What went through my mind? A bad word. That starts with an F."
