Former Smiths’ guitarist Johnny Marr has announced that he will be going out on a solo UK tour in October this year.
The tour will be to promote his debut solo album The Messenger which was released in February last year but Johnny has also revealed that he is already at work on solo album number two.
Marr has worked with a number of successful bands and artists since controversially leaving The Smiths in 1987, including time spent with The Cribs, Modest Mouse, Oasis, Paul McCartney, The The and The Pretenders.
He has also worked on the film scores for Inception (2010) and The Amazing Spiderman (2014).
