Avengers: Infinity War

The time has nearly arrived for the most anticipated film of 2018. A 10-year strategic masterplan by Marvel to bring the whole stable of superheroes together for a blockbuster to bust all blocks. This is Avengers: Infinity War.

As the Avengers and their allies have continued to protect the world from threats too large for any one hero to handle, a new danger has emerged from the cosmic shadows: Thanos. A despot of intergalactic infamy, his goal is to collect all six Infinity Stones, artifacts of unimaginable power, and use them to inflict his twisted will on all of reality. Everything the Avengers have fought for has led up to this moment - the fate of Earth and existence itself has never been more uncertain.

It is essentially the Avengers and the Guardians of the Galaxy coming together, and in doing so have created a supercast consisting of the likes of Robert Downey Jr, Chris Hemsworth, Mark Ruffalo, Chris Evans, Scarlett Johansson, Benedict Cumberbatch, Don Cheadle, Tom Holland, Chadwick Boseman, Paul Bettany, Elizabeth Olsen, Anthony Mackie, Sebastian Stan, Danai Gurira, Letitia Wright, Dave Bautista, Zoe Saldana, Josh Brolin, & Chris Pratt.

No individual production costs have been released yet, although there were rumours that the costs for the this and the sequel that is already in the making would total $1 billion, but this has been dismissed by producer Kevin Feige.

The first trailer for the movie released at the end of November actually broke YouTube’s counter so many people viewed it so quickly.  It was viewed half a million times in the first 15 minutes, and in the first 24 hours had been viewed 230 million times, becoming the most viewed trailer ever over that time period.
Last month they released a second trailer which can be seen below.

Produced by Marvel Studios and released by Walt Disney Studio Motion Pictures it hits the cinemas in the UK on April 26th – a full 24 hours before our friend in the USA get it!
