Rockit Log Speakers

Rockit Logs are audiophile speakers handcrafted from recovered acoustic quality soft tone woods by a former Premier League Footballer, and all in the name of charity, with the aim to help inspire kids. It’s a wonderful backstory, and our favourite Kickstarter appeal for a long longtime.

Each Rockit Log has a story to tell: reclaimed from a neglected forest off-cut, left to rot in a pole yard, or part of a fallen tree in an old logging block.  A funky shape, knot, pattern or crooked grain means no two are alike, and at around 12 inches in diameter, Rockit Logs are made to be easily portable with grab and go handle.

Each log is custom tuned to deliver both timeless style and premium sound quality. While most Bluetooth speakers have a power output of between 1 and 5 watts, Rockit Logs boom at 60 watts of pure audio power.
With advanced lithium battery technology, Rockit Logs boast over 10 hours of battery life at full volume! An accompanying USB port lets you charge your devices so you'll never go quiet.

They don't require any setup and can be paired with any Bluetooth compatible device or connected through an AUX cord for home audio systems.

Western Cedar, Fir and Hemlock soft tone woods are used to create a sound profile unlike anything you've heard before. These same woods are used in guitars and violins to deliver full acoustic profiles that provide warmth and amplify quieter tones.

You can choose from one of their staple designs, a celebrity designed one, or you can completely design your own!

This isn’t just a regular Kickstarter campaign though.  It is one with charitable goal and created by someone with quite a story.

Jay DeMerit has one of the most unique success stories the sport of football has ever seen; a story that was actually Kickstarted itself into a documentary film called "Rise and Shine: The Jay DeMerit Story" back in 2011.

An MLS (Major League Soccer) reject he backpacked to Europe with just £1,500 in his pocket and secured a game playing for Southall in the Combined Counties Football League, being paid £40 a week.  Through skill, determination and a bit of luck he managed to rise through the football pyramid from the 9th tier to become the captain of Watford FC in the English Premier League, as well as representing the US Mens National Team, and subsequently playing every minute of his team's games throughout the World Cup of 2010 in South Africa.

Upon retirement Jay set his sights on becoming a role model and philanthropist, and with a background in industrial product design that he picked up in his younger days studying at the University of Illinois in Chicago the Rockit Log Speaker was created……but created with a purpose.

The proceeds from every "Rise and Shine" log will be donated to the Rise and Shine Foundation set up by DeMerit, helping people to Dream Big and find their passions through unique experiences and mentorship.
