So after the excitement of last nights Brit Awards, here at Van Mildert we thought we would give you a run down of our five favourite moments from the event.
Firstly though did anyone notice two changes? James Corden was replaced by Geordie duo Ant & Dec, as well as the Brit's statue being given a new design by none other than Tracey Emin.
1. Madonna
Need we say anymore! After a serious wardrobe malfunction, Madonna was pulled backwards down a flight of stairs by her backing dancers as her cape failed to separate from her clothing. Ever the professional, Madonna carried on and completed the song regardless.
The singer later turned to Instagram to reassure all us fans that she was just fine; "Armani hooked me up! my beautiful cape was tied too tight! But nothing can stop me and love really lifted me up!".
Hats off to her for continuing with the performance in such style, Madonna we salute you.
2. Paloma Faith
Picking up her first Brit Award, Paloma Faith was crowned British Solo Female last night.
Deservedly winning the award, Paloma took to the stage with an extremely memorable acceptance speech, beginning with how she was going to 'gob off a bit', and rightly so why shouldn't she!
Aside from this, she also gave one of the evening's most elaborate performances, singing Only Love Can Hurt Like This under a show stopping waterfall.
3. Kanye West
Leaving everyone speechless as he debuted his new single All Day, Kanye West the controversial rapper delivered an unforgettable performance.
Drawing mixed reactions from the audience and ITV's attempts to mute his swearing. Dressed in an all-black ensemble, the stage was full and illuminated by a flame thrower.
All in all the performance was done in true Kanye West style, you can't deny that!
4. Ed Sheeran
Taking home two awards, Ed Sheeran was one of the hot favourites at the 2015 Brit Awards (along with Sam Smith). The 24 year old singer was presented with the British Male Solo Artist and British Album Of The Year awards.
We can't forget his moving performance of Bloodstream, what will 2015 hold for this much loved singer?
5. Critics' Choice - James Bay
Singer-song writer James Bay came to the Brit Awards knowing he already had the Critics' Choice award in hand. This award has been previously won by a variety of big names, such as Sam Smith, Jessie J, Tom Odell and many more.
Be sure to keep an eye out for James Bay this year!
