In what looks set to be the biggest film of the year Disney yesterday released the final trailer for the up coming movie Star Wars: The Force Awakens.
Despite trailers being released in December last year, and then earlier this year in April (not to mention yesterday’s one) very little is still known about the premise of this film as Walt Disney Pictures are keeping their cards very close to their chest.
What we do know is that it is set approximately 30 years after the events of Return Of The Jedi.
It has been directed by J. J. Abrams, and sees Mark Hamill, Harrison Ford, and Carrie Fisher return as Luke Skywalker, Han Solo, and Leia Organa respectively.
Star Wars: The Force Awakens will be the seventh installment in the episodic Star Wars film series, the first one in 7 years, and the first of the ‘Sequel trilogy’.
Some people feel this is truly the sixth film in the franchise, and first in 10 years, as they don't count the fairly less than successful animated movie The Clone Wars.
The film is released in the UK on 17th December, with many cinemas already selling out of the first showing despite tickets online going on sale yesterday (to coincide with the trailer release). In fact over in the US there was reports of many cinema’s online sites crashing as a result of the demand.
You can view the trailer below that has been seen more than 10 million times despite not even being up 24 hours yet.
And if you were interested in this then 2 other posts to point you in the direction of could be The Sphero BB-8 and Star Wars Kitchenware ones as so many companies aim to cash in on the huge buzz that has been created by the films imminent release.
