Searching Trailer

Recorded entirely using computer screens, ‘Searching’ is a dramatic thriller from Sony Pictures as a father desperately tries to find his missing daughter using the Internet, alongside other technological devices.

After David Kim’s 16-year-old daughter goes missing, a local investigation is opened, and a detective is assigned to the case. But 37 hours later and without a single lead, David decides to search the one place no one has looked yet, where all secrets are kept today: his daughter’s laptop. In a hyper-modern thriller told via the technology devices we use every day to communicate, David must trace his daughter’s digital footprints before she disappears forever.

Searching stars John Cho as the lead character, with Debra Messing taking a prominent role as Detective Rosemary Vick.

It made its debut at the Sundance Film Festival earlier this year where it picked up 2 awards, and early reviewers on the website Rotten Tomatoes have given it an impressive approval rating of 100%, which indicates ‘universal acclaim’.

Due for its full official release via Sony Pictures in the UK on 31st August you can watch the trailer for it below.
