Luxury travel company Hurtigruten has released a number of Norwegian Coastal Voyages that will enable travellers to experience the Arctic Circle and Northern Lights in style.
Offering stunning winter expeditions of the Norwegian coast, Hurtigruten takes passengers between Bergen and Kirkenes on 6, 7, 11 or 12 day voyages. Although each package shares the same starting and final destinations, individual trips feature exclusive, stunning settings that pass through snow-smattered landscapes, clusters of cosy, glowing houses and pure white mountains reflecting the polar twilight.
All cruises take itinerants to world-renowned, popular locations such as the ‘Paris of the North’ (Tromso), the Lofoten Islands and the North Cape, which is roughly 1,200 miles from the North Pole. The idyllic journey also includes channels into the Arctic Circle where guest can participate in the local baptism.
The obvious star of the show is the Northern Lights - or Aurora Borealis – but there are also a number of exciting excursions on offer such as the Lofotr Viking Feast, Snowmobiling in Lapland, Dog sledding in Tromso, a midnight concert at the Arctic Cathedral and many, many more.
With a Northern Lights promise – a free trip courtesy of Hurtigruten if you don’t witness the natural wonder on your voyage – there’s no better way to discover Norway in this trip of a lifetime.
Cruises start from £499, and you can visit Hurtigruten for full pricing details, itineraries and booking information.
